Indelible Imprint is a true, short story of 6000 words.

After her dismissal from the cloistered Trappistine monastery to which she had committed her life, twenty-seven years passed before the author unexpectedly encountered the deceased Abbess whose decision changed her life.

During a written dialogue process, Patricia discovered that there were final payments to be made between them before either could move on. While there was nothing magical about the journal workshop she attended, the outcome for the author was extraordinary. She received an overdue apology for a decades-old injustice, and a request for forgiveness.

Patricia Daly provides a slice of memoir in this second publication in a series of spiritual writing. It follows her first book, The Women in His Life What Jesus Saw in Them.

Certain Catholic orders are particularly known for isolation and secrecy. It is expected that novitiates will take a lifelong vow and disappear behind the cloistered gates. However, it doesn't always work out according to plan. Patricia Daly used her time in the convent to examine her life purpose and motivation, and found that much of this took the form of writing. Ultimately, she was forced to choose between her calling as a nun and her drive to write. Her description, in this slim volume, of how that came to pass is wrenching. It is a glimpse few see of a little-known way of life.

Indelible Imprint Spiritual Writing Book 2 eBook Patricia Daly Reviews

Excellent writing , the story was engaging and inspiring . A magnificently detailed account of injustice met with forgiveness.
LOVE THIS BOOK! Patricia Daly is a sincere writer and captures your spiritual interest! I recommend this book for anyone wanting to see God's work in the lives of all people. HE is there for all of us! Thanks Patricia
Wonderful story - fascinating and spiritually meaningful for anyone! It's a definite "must read!"
Pat Daly tells her story plainly and directly. If the capsule summary (i. e., nun is forced out of her order against her will by an imperious mother superior, suffers serious psychic damage that she comes to grips with only decades later, where grace happens even beyond death) appeals to you you will be mesmerized by her story. Both pain and wisdom are palpable and tears welled up in my eyes as I read.
Resentment and bitterness over loss can destroy your life. This author takes you through her journey to forgive and move on. Her words ring true.
Patricia Daly has written a small memoir filled with grace and honesty. She opens her heart to share her personal journey of dismissal from a Trappist Monastery -- where she had committed her life and planned to stay -- but was then "ask to leave." Patricia chronicles the events that led to that eviction, not just of the body but of the soul, and how 27 years later she was presented with the opportunity to forgive the woman who caused her so much pain. Her gift of writing is strongly featured in this book and how she was asked to release it and burn it while in the monastery. Thankfully, Pat's gift remains intact. This book left an "indelible imprint" on my heart and soul. I highly recommend this book.
This is a good read and an interesting story. We have all had someone thwart our enthusiasm and creativity in our lives. The opportunity from such an experience is to mature into a self-reliant, self-defined individual. The author was very young when she ran into her nemesis and she suffered a long path to reclaiming her spirit and her soul. The culmination is the dialogue that she pursues to find closure/completion and release herself from this chain of condemnation surrounding her heart. Well done, Patricia Daly.
